Gregg Edward Garrett

Gregg Edward Garrett of Clarksville passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the age of 59.  Born in Granville County, NC on September 16, 1964, he was the son of Joyce Strum Garrett and the late Thomas Edward Garrett, Jr.

Gregg was employed in construction work as an equipment operator.  He was a great handyman and enjoyed working on all types of engines.  He loved NASCAR. Dale Earnhardt was his favorite.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce; sister, Debbie Newman (Tommy); brother, Todd Garrett (Shelby) and many nieces & nephews.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his older brother, Ronnie Garrett.

A funeral service will be held  at 2:00 PM  on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Union Chapel Baptist Church with Reverends Earnie Taylor and Jackie Wray officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday night, September 4, 2024 from 7 until 9 PM at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
