Gregory Scott Hier

CLOVER Gregory Scott Hier of Clover passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at the age of 65. He was born in Michigan on September 24, 1956 to the late Joseph W. Hier and Bernadine Doris (Pearl) Hier. He was married to Karen Sue Hier, who survives. Gregory was employed at Louisiana Pacific in Roxboro for over 20 years. He loved fishing, crafting, woodworking and his cat, Buddy. He enjoyed trying to play the guitar. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served his country for 16 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by step children, Kathryn Thomas (Christopher) of Roxboro, NC, Irvin Lloyd (Lisa) of Alton, Timothy Lloyd of Clover and Kimberly Jones (David) of Alton; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, L.J. Hier (Linda) of Nunica, MI, Bruce Hier (Beverly) of Colfield, NC, Matt Hier (Cindy) of Muskegon, MI, and Claudia Bray of Muskegon, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Cheryl Baumgart of Charlotte, MI. A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
