Hallie "Annie" Fleming Welcher

Mrs. Hallie "Annie" Fleming Welcher of 7160 Bill Tuck Hwy, Virgilina, VA died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the age of 95. She was born in Maryland on December 8, 1917 to the late Walter Fleming and the late Bessie Kanney Fleming and was married to the late Floyd Calvin Welcher, Sr. Mrs. Welcher was a member of Grace Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher and a retired factory worker for Craddock & Terry. Survivors include one daughter, Peggy W. Gray of Burlington, NC; three grandsons, Michael Welcher & wife, Denise, W.R. "Chip" Welcher, Jr. & wife, Kim all of Virgilina, VA and Ronald Welcher of Capron, VA; two granddaughters, Priscilla Agioni & husband, Barry of Moneta, VA and Judy Deal & husband, Tony of Virgilina, VA; two step granddaughters, Kelly Price & husband, Mark of Ringgold, VA and Stacy Snead of Virgilina, VA; one step grandson, Craig Bray & wife, Lisa of Lynchburg, VA; eight great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Floyd Calvin Welcher, Jr. and William Riley Welcher, Sr. and foster parents, Riley and Sally Hailey. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Stewart and Rev. Don Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home of her grandson, W.R. "Chip" Welcher, Jr., 7510 Bill Tuck Hwy., Virgilina, VA.
