Harold Randall Bowen

Virgilina, Va. Mr. Harold Randall “Bo Weevil” Bowen passed awayWednesday, January 25, 2017 at the age of 68.He was born on December 4, 1948 to the late Harold Mason Bowen and the late Doris Lowery Bowen and was married to Dorothy Comer Bowen. Mr. Bowen was a former welder at Lewis Metal Works and a retired farmer. He was a member of North Fork Baptist Church, a member of the Red Bank Hunting Club and loved hunting, the outdoors, bluegrass music, historical facts and his family and friends. Harold was survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Lori Frazier (Tim) of Oxford, NC, LuAnne Jones (Randy) of South Boston; son, Randall Bowenof Virgilina; granddaughters, Savanna, Taylor, Skye, Jodi and Addison; great granddaughter, Nora; brothers, Thomas Bowen(Linda), Ronnie Bowen(Kathy), Vance Bowen(Rita), and Cecil Bowen(Ramona); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. Funeral services for Mr. Bowen will be Friday, January 27, 2017 at North Fork Baptist Church at 4:00 PM with Reverend Ricky Whitlow and Reverend Doug Ballew officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at North Fork Baptist Church from 3:00 – 4:00 PM prior to the service.
