Harold W. "Hank" Hamlett

Mr. Harold W. "Hank" Hamlett of 7052 River Rd., South Boston died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the age of 58. He was born on July 1, 1952 in Charlotte Co. to Alma Ratliff Anderson and the late Hugh Hamlett and was married to Deloris Overby Hamlett. Mr. Hamlett was a carpenter for Norfolk & Southern Railway. Survivors include his wife,Deloris Overby Hamlett of the home; his mother, Alma Ratliff Anderson of South Boston; daughters, Rocki Elania Hamlett of South Boston, Donna LaBone and husband, Michael of Chase City, and Beth O. Ralston of Virgilina; sons, Harold W. Hamlett, Jr. of Apex, NC and Stacy Hamlett of Wake Forest, NC; brothers, Paul Hamlett and wife, Janet of Chase City, Tyree Hamlett and wife, Frances of Farmville, and Floyd Hamlett and wife, Brenda of Chase City; sisters, Mary Lou Toombs and husband, Ray of Drakes Branch and Margaret Miller of Chase City; and grandchildren, Brandi Lawrence and Joshua Lawrence. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Hamlett. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Hitesburg Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mike Riley and Rev. Bill Wilkins officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and at other times at the home.
