Harriett Wilborn Bradshaw of South Boston passed away on Wednesday, January 24th at the age of 88. She was born in Halifax County on August 14, 1935 to the late Henry Logan Wilborn and Myrtle Owen Wilborn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Wayne Bradshaw.
Harriett was a retiree of Burlington Industries with 41 years of employment. She always loved flowers, gardening and working outdoors. Her favorite past time was shopping and she always looked very fashionable in what she wore. Harriett was a wonderful cook and always enjoyed hosting a family meal. A member of Black Walnut Baptist Church, she worked with the children in Sunday School and faithful in her attendance while she was able to attend. Harriett loved her family dearly, she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Bradshaw (Donnie) and Scottie Bradshaw; granddaughter, Kelsey Bradshaw; great grandchildren, Levi Tuck and Gracie Webb; brother, Tim Wilborn; nieces & nephews, Debbie Wicker, Bonnie Martin, Charlie "Dickie" Dixon, Pat Powell, Walter "Buddy" Woody Jr and Mary Ann Womack and many other family & friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Janie Woody and Betty Dixon.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Black Walnut Baptist Church with Pastor Cole McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2pm and other times at the home.
