Harry Thomas Daniel

Mr. Harry Thomas Daniel of Halifax, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 13, 2014 at the age of 80. Mr. Daniel was born in Knoxville, TN on October 6, 1934 and was reared in Danville and South Boston, VA. He was the son of the late Henry Broadus Daniel, Sr. and the late Doris May Robertson Daniel and was the husband of Lillian Crabtree Daniel whom he married on June 17, 1955. Mr. Daniel was retired from Home Beneficial Insurance. He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and attended Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, and Richmond Polytechnic Institute. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Crabtree Daniel; two daughters, Linda Daniel Duncan and husband, Dr. Tim Duncan of Halifax, VA and Susan Daniel Reddy and husband, David of Halifax, VA; two sons, Thomas Arthur Daniel and wife, Penny of Martinsville, VA and Derek Brent Daniel and wife, Mandy of Halifax, VA; five grandchildren, Daniel O'Neal Reddy, Alexandra Connally Reddy, Drake Thomas Daniel, Eli Benjamin Daniel, and Gabriella Grace Daniel; and two brothers, Curtis Wayne Daniel of Louisburg, NC and Harold Judson Daniel of South Boston, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dr. Henry Broadus Daniel, Jr.. A Celebration of Life with light reception and remembrances led by Rev. Jack Stewart will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 1 PM until 3 PM in the Brooks Lyon Suite.
