Mr. Harvey Nichols Bomar of 3135 Green Valley Rd., Clover died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the age of 85. Mr. Bomar was born in Halifax Co. on September 12, 1924 to the late Jamie and Theatrice Nichols Bomar and he was married to Florine Fallen Bomar. He was veteran of the US Army serving in WW II, a retired auto mechanic for Beach Ford in Virginia Beach, a member of Providence Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Crystal Hill Masonic Lodge. Mr. Bomar is survived by his wife, two sons, Jimmy Bomar and his wife, Betty of Martinsville and Tommy Bomar and his wife, Dee of Halifax; a brother, Roy Bomar of Richmond; 8 grandchildren, Shane Bomar and wife, Charlotte, Brandon Bomar, Sheri Carmony, Michelle Taylor, Kathy Brown, Kenny Bomar, Jeff Bomar & wife, Fawn, and Josh Bomar; 11 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean Conner. Funeral services for Mr. Bomar will be held on Sunday, January 17 at 3:00 PM at Providence Presbyterian Church with Rev. Terry Blevins and Rev. Jeff Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2 until 3 PM.
