SOUTH BOSTON. VA Hazel Elliott Comer Tuck of South Boston died Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the age of 87. She was born in Granville Co., NC on May 24, 1929 to the late Boss Lee Elliott and the late Minnie Bray Elliott. Hazel was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was retired from Burlington Industries. She was a graduate ofthe class of 1947 at Oak Hill High School.In addition to her hobby of fishing,she was very passionate about canning vegetables and making soap.But most importantwas her love for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Tuck is survived by her husband, Luther Flournoy Tuck, Jr; daughters, Brenda C. (James) Macy of Stokesdale, NC,Joyce C. (Roy) Lowery of Virgilina; sons, David A. (Sarah) Comer of South Boston,Ricky D. (Kathy) Comer of Halifax; stepdaughters, Susan T. (Ted) Rickmond of Saxe, VA, Robin T. (David) Arthur of Hurt, Va; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; sisters, Ernestine Newton of Oxford, NC, Erselle Cole of Cluster Springs, Va, Mary Ann Hughes of Nathalie, Va.; brothers, Herman Elliott of Oxford, NC and Bobby Elliott of Bullock, NC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tuck is predeceased by her first husband, Andrew G. “Buck” Comer; son, Wallace A. Comer; sisters, Charlotte E. Cox, Jean E. Wilson; brothers, Garnie L. Elliott, Rufus A. Elliott and grandson, Scott Comer. Funeral services for Mrs.Tuck will be Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church with burial at North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM atBrooks Lyon Funeral Home and at other times at her home, 5084 Bill Tuck Hwy. South Boston, VA.
