Hazel Bowes Fletcher

VIRGILINA - Mrs. Hazel Bowes Fletcher of Virgilina, VA died Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the age of 82. Mrs. Fletcher was born in Person Co., NC on January 19, 1934 the daughter of the late John Bowes and the late Etta Pulliam Bowes and was married to the late John Shelton Fletcher. She was a homemaker and a member of Florence Ave. Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Pulliam and husband, Mason, Linda Chandler and husband, Roger, and Brenda Glasscock and husband, Michael, all of Virgilina; three grandchildren, Ann Tuck and husband, Casey of Roxboro, NC, John Pulliam of Virgilina, and David Glasscock and wife, Hillary of Martinsburg, WV; four great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Virgilina Cemetery with The Reverend Norman Talley and The Reverend Carroll Glasscock officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home on Saturday, May 21 from 6:00 Pm until 8:00 PM and at other times at the home, 1050 Eighth St., Virgilina.
