Helen Sadler Owen

Mrs. Helen Sadler Owen of 2834 Mt. Hope Church Rd., Julian, NC formerly of 401 Lee St., South Boston, VA died on Friday, January 4, 2013 at the age of 86. She was born in Halifax Co., VA on January 7, 1926 to the late Henry Ellis Sadler and the late Daisy Lowery Sadler and was married to the late William Aaron Owen. Mrs. Owen was a homemaker and a member of Glenwood United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, James E. Owen and wife, Ann of Julian, NC; one sister, Myrtle Ray; three grandchildren, Jamie Owen Beach and husband, Morgan of Charlotte, NC, Jodi Marie Owen of Raleigh, NC, and Tammy Owen Glenn and husband, Allen of Colonial Heights, VA ; and two great grandchildren, Shaina Glenn and Ryan Glenn. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, William Thomas Owen. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jack Stewart officiating.
