Henry "Buck" Joseph Wilmouth

SCOTTSBURG, VA Mr. Henry Joseph “Buck” Wilmouth, Jr., husband of Phyllis Anderson Wilmouth, went to his Heavenly home on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the age of 67. Born in Halifax County on March 13, 1952, he was the son of the late Henry and Esther “Puddin” Wilmouth. Buck was a devoted member of Fork Baptist Church and served as chairman on the Deacon Board for many years. He loved his grandbabies, his dog Lulu, cutting wood, and his car, a 1938 Plymouth and 1952 Ford truck. He won numerous car trophies. He retired from Dominion Power. In addition to his wife, Phyllis, he is survived by daughters, Misty Meade and husband Tony; Kimberly Anne Priest and friend, Jimmy Epps; Mary Beth McCoy and husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Kirstyn Paige Meade, Mason Gray Meade, Noah Jackson Priest, Collin Regan Priest, Lacey Jane Priest, Colton Henry McCoy, and Lynlee Ann McCoy; brothers, Ronnie Wilmouth and Chris Wilmouth and wife, Pat; “ brother from another mother” Robert Poole and close friend, Sambo Slayton; aunt, Edith Crenshaw; aunt, Faye Newton Johnson and husband, Elton and aunt, Ida Wilmouth and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Buck Wilmouth will be Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Fork Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Warfield officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 PM on Saturday at Fork Baptist Church, 5208 Falkland Road, Scottsburg, VA, 24589.
