Hilda Eva Gadwah Stopfer

Mrs. Hilda Eva Gadwah Stopfer, 83, widow of Harry Albert Stopfer, died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston. Born June 25, 1926 in Colebrook, New Hampshire, Hilda was the daughter of Victor Andrew and Jessie Hensen Gadwah. She was a retired caregiver and a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Clarksville. Graveside services will be Friday at Oakhurst Cemetery. Mrs. Stopfer is survived by her sons, William Joseph Stopfer and Bruce Gadwah Stopfer; sister, Esther Amelia Huntley, and brothers, Norman, Glendon, Mervyn, and Victor. The family will receive friends 7-9PM Thursday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
