Hilda Snoddy Nordenson

VIRGILINA, VA Hilda Snoddy Nordenson of Virgilina, VA died Monday, January 5, 2015 at the age of 86. She was born in Virgilina, VA on April 4, 1928 daughter of the late Annie Maureen Overby Bowen and the late William Ray Snoddy. Ms. Nordenson was a retired Executive Secretary at the University of Virginia School of Law. She was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church and was a good Christian woman always telling folks that Jesus was coming soon. Survivors include nieces and nephews, Larry and Veronica Snoddy, Barney and Jane Snoddy, andCecil Snoddy; great nieces and nephews, Christopher Crouch, Timothy Crouch, Destiny Cameron, and Lori Williamson; and a sister-in-law, Emma Snoddy. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father, Lynwood C. Bowen, son, Michael J. Nordenson, brother, M. Ray Snoddy, and step brother, Lynwood Bowen. Graveside services will be held at Virgilina Cemetery on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Harold Knowles officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home on Saturday from 12 noon until 1:15 PM.
