Homer Lee Mcclure

SOUTH BOSTON - Mr. Homer Lee McClure of South Boston passed away on November 10, 2016 at the age of 75. He was born in Granville Co., NC on April 8, 1941 to the late Johnny McClure and the late Mattie Barnes McClure and was married to his first wife, the late Jean Long McClure, and his second wife, the late Hazel Clark McClure. Homer was a painter and was a member of North Fork Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and dancing. Mr. McClure is survived by a son, Jeffrey McClure of Thomasville, NC; two daughters, Nola Fountain of Lexington, NC and Penny McClure of Southmont, NC; five brothers, Sam McClure of Roxboro, NC, Jessie McClure of Holden Beach, NC, Thelbert McClure of Thomasville, NC, Chuck McClure of Thomasville, NC, and Donnie McClure of Thomasville, NC; two sisters, Joyce Hammonds of Archdale, NC and Mary Honeycutt of Silver Valley, NC; and four grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Travis, and Meagan. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one son, Jackie McClure, and two brothers, Raymond McClure and James McClure.
