Horace Edward Carter

Horace Edward "Eddie" Carter of Keeling passed away on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on July 21st, 1949, Eddie was the son of the late Horace L. Carter and Sallie Satterfield Carter.

Eddie served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed horseback riding and camping with his friends and was always ready to help people. He was retired from Goodyear in Danville.

He is survived by his life partner, Gail Allen; brother, Michael Carter (Jean); niece, Dr. Christy Carter (Cory); nephew, William Carter (Lizzie) ; close friend, J.R. Fowler and his beloved dog, Jake.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Olive Branch Methodist Church Cemetery.
