Horace Lee Griffin

VIRGILINA Horace Lee Griffin passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021. Horace Lee was born in Halifax County on December 8, 1962 to Ralph “Heiter” Griffin and Betty Forlines Griffin, who survive. He was married to Jean Puckett Griffin, next month would have been their 40th anniversary. Horace Lee began his work career at Burlington Industries for 15 years. Horace Lee then worked for Blanks Alignment for 2 years, before becoming the owner/operator of the business, which is now known as Alignments Plus, Inc.Being an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and socializing with his many friends, who knew him as “Peter Rabbit” and “Harley Bo.” Horace Lee was very passionate about being a great and wonderful grandfather to his grandchildren. He was a member of Hitesburg Baptist Church. Leaving to cherish all the memories are wife, Jean; son, Bradley Allen Griffin and wife, Liza; daughter, Holly Elliott; grandchildren, Leah, Griffin, Anne-Marie and Grayson; sister, Teressa Davis; mother-in-law, Maude Noell Puckett and his childhood best friend, James Bowen. He was preceded in death by Uncle Red & Hazel Sizemore and father-in-law, Russell “Shine” Puckett. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Hitesburg Baptist Church with Reverend Ian Rigney and Reverend Randy Holmes officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home and other times at the family home.
