Hubert Garnett Tollerson

Boydton, VA - Mr. Hubert Garnett Tollerson, husband of Dorothy Allen Tollerson, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the age of 83. He was born in Spartanburg. SC on January 11, 1936 to the late Claude and Bertie Bray Tollerson. Hubert was a 1953 graduate of Boydton High School. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 33 years of employment. He was a dedicated member and former deacon of Liberty Baptist Church. Hubert is survived by his wife, Dorothy; a son and his wife, H. Steve and Donna Tollerson of Clarksville, two daughters and their husbands, Melanie and Warren Pruett of Chesterfield and Tammy and Glen Taylor of Boydton; grandchildren, Eric Tollerson, Holden Taylor, Jordan Moore, Joshua Pruett, and Logan Taylor and great-granddaughter, Cindy Beck. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Yvonne Tollerson and a grandson, Paul Tollerson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Liberty Baptist Church with the Reverend Nathan White officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
