Ida Belle Thomas Clark Poole

Mrs. Ida Belle Thomas Clark Poole, 92, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at her residence. She was born in the year of 1918 to the late Eddie Lee and Flossie Wilkerson Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bailey L. Clark, Sr. and George W. Poole. Mrs. Poole was a graduate of Clarksville High School with the Class of 1937. She was a homemaker. Funeral services will be 11AM Saturday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverend Lori Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Oakhurst Cemetery. Mrs. Poole is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bailey L. Clark, Jr. and his wife, Cindy of Palmer Springs; sister, Audrey Young of Maryland and grandchildren, Bailey L. Clark, III of Virginia and Diane, Robin, Kimberly, and Erica of California. Among the surviving stepdaughters are Maxine Dean of North Carolina and step grandchildren Timothy, Matthew, Windy, and David Beck, all residing in Virginia and Janice, Gay, Crystal and Casey of North Carolina, and Randy of Virginia. Also surviving are numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene L. Thomas and Blanche T. Fuller Enderle and brothers, Robert E. Thomas and Wallace C. Thomas. The family will receive friends 7-8:30 PM Friday at the funeral home.
