Inez Crews Oakes

SOUTH BOSTON Mrs. Inez Crews Oakes of 1002 James D. Hagood Hwy., South Boston, went to be with her Lord on Friday, August 4, 2017.She was born April 29, 1926, the daughter of the late James Andrew Crews, Jr. and the late Lou Fannie Jones Crews and was married to the late Albert M. Oakes. She was born and reared in Nathalie and was a member of Childrey Baptist Church. Mrs. Oakes is survived by daughters, Betty Teodorovici of Spicewood, Texas and Wanda Lee and husband Richard of South Boston; son, Michael Oakes and wife Lesley of South Boston; six grandchildren, Phillip Webber, Stephen Webber, Jullena Sketo, Lori Cambra Webber, Eric Oakes and Adam Oakes; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and two special ladies, Karen Acree and Lena Wood. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
