Inez Young

VIRGILINA Mrs. Novella Inez Powell Young of Virgilina went to her heavenly home on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the age of 100.Born in Person County, NC on January 18, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Mount Lee Powell and the late Martha Nettie Snow Powell and was married to the late Willie James Young. Mrs. Young was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for 40 years. She loved all her church family. She enjoyed working with flowers and loved gospel music. Survivors include sons, Jerry Wayne Young and wife, Janice and Harold Young and wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Chris Young and wife, Stacey, Craig Young, Tony Young and Brad Young and wife Tanya; great grandchildren, Jeb Young, Jacob Young, Peyton Young, and Crue Young. Services for Mrs. Young will be Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Olive Branch Baptist Church, Roxboro, NC at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 1:00-2:00 PM at Olive Branch Baptist Church and other time at the homes of Harold and Nancy Young, 4071 Wilson Road, Virgilina and Jerry Wayne and Janice Young, 2228 East Hyco Road, South Boston, VA.
