Irene Tillotson Fossett

Gertrude Irene Tillotson Fossett, 99, widow of Walter Irvin Fossett, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 in Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.Mrs. Fossett was born April 15, 1915 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia to the late William Lee and Altea Maggie Newton Tillotson.She was ahomemaker and a member of Bluestone Baptist Church.Mrs. Fossett moved to Kentucky in 2013 to be near her daughter.She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Gayle Williamson of Mount Eden, KY, her daughter-in-law, Lorene N. Fossett of Buffalo Junction, and grandchildren, Cheri Blackwell, Kathy Blankenship (Doug), Dwayne Williamson (Jeni), and Tom Williamson (Nicole).Her great grandchildren, Shannon Singleton (Steve), Stacy Newton (T.J.), and Zachary and Joshua Williamson, and great great grandchildren, Trevor, Dale, Daniel and Jonathan also survive .Her son, Ryland Fossett, preceded her in death.Funeral services will be held at 2PM Saturday in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverends Herbert Williamson and Ryan McGuire officiating.Interment will follow in Bluestone Cemetery.The family will receive friends just prior to the service, starting at 12:30 p.m.Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.wclfh.com.
