Irene Puckett Hogan

Mrs. Irene Puckett Hogan of 1107 Hogan Rd., Virgilina, VA died Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the age of 92. She was born February 2, 1920 to the late Jonah Puckett and the late Laurie Cochram Puckett and was married to the late James Thomas Hogan. She was a homemaker and mother and a member of Aarons Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters; Loretta Roberts and husband, Elbert of Bahama, NC, Anita Talley of Virgilina, VA: sons Thomas Hogan, Jimmie Hogan and wife, Carol, Wayne Hogan and wife, Sue all of Clarksville, VA., and Larry Hogan of Virgilina, VA.: 12 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren; and her sister, Susan Goad of Stewart, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Carl Edward Hogan, her parents, two sisters, Ruth Ayers and Dorothy Hooker; four brothers, Edwin Puckett, Louthan “Buddy” Puckett, James Puckett and Ward Puckett. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Aarons Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Joe McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in Aarons Creek Baptist Cemetery.
