Iris Flagg Bakos

Iris Flagg Bakos of Clover, VA  left this earth to go home to her family on Friday, July 28, 2023 at the age of 92.  She was the fourth of six children born to the late John and Ethel Flagg of Caroline County, VA on August 14, 1930.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris James Bakos.

Iris and Chris owned and operated several popular restaurants in and around the Richmond area, including the Attache on Broad Street and the Townhouse restaurant in Ashland for many years.  Iris was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and dear friend, always a smile on her face no matter the difficulties of the day.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Bakos of Clover and Cynthia Carneal of Greensboro, NC.; niece, Diane Harris and niece, Barbara Elliott; many other special nieces & nephews; grandchildren, Nathan Beach, Brandon Beach and Julie Beach; and six great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ann Smith, Shirley Green, Hugh Flagg, Joan Campbell and Faye Padgett.

Services will be held at a later date at Carmel Baptist Church in Ruther Glen, Virginia.
