Iris Roberson "Mickey" Dawson

Mrs. Iris Roberson “ Mickey” Dawson of 1161 Dawson Trail, Alton, VA died on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the age of 70. She was born on May 28, 1943 to the late Walter Roberson and the late Laura Clayton Roberson and was married to Wayne F. “Joe” Dawson. Mrs. Dawson was a retired Dietician at Roxboro Nursing Center and a member of Alton Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Wayne F. “Joe” Dawson of Alton; her sons, Butch Dawson and wife, Pam, Skeet Dawson and wife Christy, Mike Dawson and Wes Dawson all of Alton; two sisters, Emily Martin of Allensville, NC and Teresa Spencer of Roxboro, NC; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janie R. Martin. Memorial services will be held on Monday, July, 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Alton Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 7 PM until 8:30 PM and other times at the home of Skeet and Christy Dawson.
