Irvin Ray Tillotson

BUFFALO JUNCTION Mr. Irvin Ray Tillotson of Buffalo Junction passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the age of 80. Born on January 21, 1940 he was the son of the late Lurie Chaffus and Hallie Hite Tillotson and was married to the late Shirley Wilson Tillotson. Irvin was a lifelong member of Buffalo Baptist Church. He served his country in the Army National Guard for 7 years and formerly worked with Burlington Industries for 28 years in the finishing/maintenance shop and HA Nunn Construction for 13 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was an active member of theBuggs Island Wildlife Club. For over 4 decades he played softball with the church league. Left to cherish his memories are his sons, David Tillotson of Buffalo Junction and Johnnie Tillotson and wife, Sam of Clarksville; niece, Susan Tillotson; nephews, Steven Lingafelt and Phillip Lingafelt. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his beloved father-in-law and mother-in-law, Allie and Virginia Wilson, his brother, Donald Tillotson and his sister, Glenna Lingafelt. The family will hold a service for Irvin on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Buffalo Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. They will receive friends for visitation at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home the night before, Tuesday, September 1 from 6-8 PM. His service on Wednesday will be live-streamed on Watkins Cooper Lyon’s facebook page for those who are unable to attend. .
