BUFFALO JUNCTION - Isaac “Ike” Watts King, III of Buffalo Junction, VA passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the age of 61 after fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer. Ike is survived by his wife, Lisa Ramsey King and her sons, Christopher Godwin and Joshua Ramsey Holt; and sister, Gail Dupree and her son George Dupree, Jr. of Venice, FL. After graduating from optical school at R.J. Reynolds College in Richmond, VA, Ike and his late wife Denise S. King moved to South Boston and opened King Optical. They had a thriving business for 21 years and loved all their customers. Ike loved his family, friends, and spending time at his beach house in Nags Head, NC. Ike loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, scuba diving, surfing, underwater photography, skiing, fishing on the lake at his home, and boating. Ike is also survived by his nieces, Tracy and husband, Greg Johnson of Chesapeake, VA,Jennifer Smith of Benson, NC, Susan Dupree of Nokomis, FL; and nephews, Al and wife, Carol Smith, Vincent and Karen Smith of Richmond, VA and Robert Page of New York. Isaac was preceded in death by his father, Isaac Watts King, Jr., his mother, Nona Page King, late wife, Denise S. King, half-sisters, Joyce Smith and Kaye Smith, half-brother, John Page, nephew, Garry Smith, and niece, Heather Daniel. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Brooks Lyon Betty B. Jones Chapel with the Reverend Susan Davis officiating. A private burial will be held in Portsmouth at a later date. The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home on Sunday, May 5 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
