CLARKSVILLE - Mrs. Isabell “Izzy” Tillotson Salmons, wife of Reverend William Marcus Salmons, of Clarksville passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the age of 80. A faithful, honest Christian she is in God’s hands. Born in Bullock, NC on March 16, 1941 she was the daughter of the late James Kenneth Tillotson and the late Mildred Annie Newby Tillotson. Mrs. Salmons grew up in Marrows Chapel United Methodist Church and was a current member of Central Baptist Church in Henderson, NC.Izzy was a retired Hearing Clerk with the Office of Hearing and Appeals for Social Security.Izzy was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and loved her family very dearly. Survivors include her husband, Reverend William M. Salmons; three sons, William Marcus Salmons, Jr. and wife, Yvette of Wake Forest, NC, James Marvin Salmons and wife, Karen of Louisburg, NC, and John Marshall Salmons and wife, Shelley of Raleigh, NC; two sisters, Naomi T. Hogge of Gloucester Point and Stella T. Pennell and husband, Gene of Clarksville; grandchildren, Jessica Isabell Salmons, Brittany Ann Salmons, and William Marcus Salmons, III; step grandchildren, Kyle Peltz, Kendall Peltz, Jack Waterworth, and Sarah and Ben Evenson; and great grandchildren, Owen and Charlotte. She is predeceased by her sister, Ruth T. Cooper, formerly of Richmond, VA. The family will receive friends and loved ones in visitation Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home in Clarksville VA. The Funeral Service for Izzy will be on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm in Marrow's Chapel United Methodist Church in Bullock, NC with burial to follow in the church cemetery.Her service will be officiated by Dr. Randy Mann.
