Jack Lou Williams, Sr.

Surrounded with love, Jack Lou Williams, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 29, 2022, after bravely battling cancer. He was born on January 9, 1973, to the late Joseph Daniel and Joyce Brewer Williams and was the youngest of four siblings, Penny Tollerson (Raven), Jody Williams and Tammy Ogburn. He grew up and resided in Buffalo Junction, VA. Jack was a life long member of Union Chapel Baptist Church and was baptized there on July 5, 1981.

Jack was a devoted father to Samantha Dorolee Williams, Jack Lou Williams, Jr., Hannah Williams Park and Kayla Mae Williams. He embraced the challenges of raising three children by himself until he married his wife of 22 years, Jennifer.
Jack loved to hear the word, “PaPa” from his five grandchildren. Every chance he got he taught Elle the importance of a good sip of sweet tea. He loved teaching J.J., Christian, Jack Grayson and Jesse life lessons and the great earnings of a hard day's work. He was handy with candy for pay or reward, and he loved making the grandkids smile.

Jack enjoyed the simple things in life…woodworking, building and creating anything that he was determined to do or that Jennifer envisioned. He was a self-proclaimed “Jack of all trades” and a master bonfire builder. When he wasn’t working or at his children’s activities, he enjoyed riding motorcycles. To unwind at the end of the day, Jack enjoyed coming home to a full house, his recliner, the tv remote and a glass of Crown and Coke.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 2 at Union Chapel Baptist Church with the Reverend Jackie Wray officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home and all other times at the residence.
