SOUTH BOSTON Jackie Hackney passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at South Boston Health & Rehab.She was born in Halifax County on August 29, 1936 to the late Walter and Inez Carter Boyd and was married for 64 years toWilliam Grant Hackney. Jackie was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, William; daughters, Debbie Hackney Daniel and Kelly Hackney Moser; son, Mike Hackney; grandchildren, Jessica, Drew and Grey; 6 great grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry Boyd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carter Boyd. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 1-2 PM.
