James Thomas Bailey

James "Thomas" Bailey, 65, of Virgilina, VA passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013. He was born March 3, 1948 in Granville County, NC to the late James Alvin and Mamie Cash Bailey. Thomas was a retired line worker from Russell Stover Candies Company. Thomas graduated from Halifax County High School in 1968 and was a member of North Fork Baptist Church. Mr. Bailey is survived by his uncle, George Bailey of Stovall, NC; sister, Beverly Bailey of Clinton, NC; and cousin, Margaret Humphries. He is also survived by special friends, Judy Johnson, Jennifer Pool and David Hudson.Visitation for friends and family will be on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 4:00 p.m. at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home in Clarksville, VA with the Reverends Scott Welch and Norman Talley officiating. Interment will follow at Hitesburg Baptist Church Cemetery, 2215 Hitesburg Church Rd, Virgilina, VA 24598
