James Edward "Skeet" Dawson

ALTON - Mr. James Edward "Skeet" Dawson of Alton, VA died Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the age of 50. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on January 12, 1966 to Wayne "Joe" Dawson, Sr. and the late Iris Roberson Dawson and was married to Christy Wilkins Dawson. Mr. Dawson was a 1984 graduate of Halifax Co. Senior High, a member of Alton Baptist Church andproduct manager at ABB. He is survived by his wife, Christy W. Dawson; a daughter, Brooke Clay of Alton; a son, James Clay of Alton; father, Wayne "Joe" Dawson, Sr. of Alton; three brothers, Wayne "Butch" Dawson, Jr. and wife, Pam, Michael Neal "Mike" Dawson, and Wesley Glen Dawson, all of Alton: and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Alton Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Alton Baptist Church for one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home, 1160 Dawson Trail, Alton.
