James Henry Wilson

James "Jimmy" Henry Wilson, Jr., husband of Bonnie Hudson Wilson, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at the age of 69. He was born in Halifax County on January 18, 1951, to the late Thelma Wilson and James Henry Wilson, Sr. Jimmy was a hardworking family man, who farmed for his entire life. He was an active member of Hitesburg Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Cherishing his memories are his wife of 50 ½ years, Bonnie; son, Heath Wilson (Keely), of Virgilina; grandson, Jamie Wilson (Whitney) of South Boston; great granddaughter, Maya Wilson; sisters, Linda Caudle (Henry) of Virgilina and Sandra Wilbourne (David) of Skipwith; nieces Becky, Lori, and Sarah; nephews, Adam, Kevin, and Dan, as well as many other friends and family members. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the public may pay their respects at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home on Saturday, January 2, 2021, from 12:00 PM-8:00 P.M.A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 3 at Hitesburg Baptist Church with the Reverend Ian Rigney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and familyat their residence, 3161 Wilson Rd., Virgilina at all other times.
