James Donald Harris

James Donald “Don” Harris, beloved husband of Elke Boettger Harris, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023, at the age of 84. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and worked as a project manager prior to his retirement. Don was proud of his Cherokee heritage and enjoyed traveling about to participate in Pow Wows and teaching traditional indigenous customs. In addition to his wife, Don is survived by his children, Colleen Cranberry and David Harris; grandchildren, David, Matthew, Courtney and Sam; great grandchild, Lincoln and brother, Jerry Harris and wife, Nancy. The family will hold services at a later date.
