James Franklin Lacks

Mr. James Franklin Lacks of 11830 Craftons Gate Hwy., Drakes Branch, VA died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the age of 60. He was born on November 24, 1951 in Charlotte Co., VA and was married to Wanda Conner Lacks. Mr. Lacks was a retired maintenance worker for the Charlotte Co. School System and a member of Wylliesburg Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Conner Lacks of Drakes Branch, VA; his mother, Alice Rickman Wilmoth & her husband, Abraham of Saxe, VA; a daughter, Jodi Lynn Ojeda & her husband, William of FL, six sisters, Edith Lacks of Randolph, VA, Kay Day of Virginia Beach, VA, Susan East & her husband, Kent of Clover, VA, Tammy Lacks of Keysville, VA, Callie Day & her husband, Kevin of Barnesville, VA, Betty Wilmoth of Saxe, VA; a brother, Samuel Wilmoth & his wife, Stephanie of Drakes Branch, VA; three grandchildren, Dylan Stolzenthaler, Madison Ojeda, and Makenzie Ojeda. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Lacks. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Wylliesburg Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Nathalie, VA. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home.
