James Void Mann

James Void Mann, 78, husband of Patsy Gauldin Mann, died Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in Martinsville. Born in Appomattox, James was a retired Diesel Mechanic with TaylorRamsey. An Army and Navy veteran, he was a member of VFW Post 8163 and the American Legion. In addition to his wife, James is survived by his daughters, Shelia Mann of Lynchburg and Laura Kathryn Mann Martin of Appomatox; and son, James V. Mann, Jr., also of Appomattox. Six grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, stepdaughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Victor Ray of Martinsville; stepsons and daughter-in-law, Randy Powell of Martinsville, and Rod and Barbara Powell of Ridgeway; sister and brother-in-law, Thema and Fred Elder and brother and sister-in-law, Elmo and Patsy Mann, all of Appomattox also survive. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 PM Friday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home. Services will be private.
