HALIFAX - Mr. James Osborn Terry of Halifax, VA passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the age of 51. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on November 29, 1965 to Henry Alvin Terry and the late Ruby Mae Davis Terry. James worked at J.P. Stevens for 20 years and was a member of Centerville Baptist Church. He loved his family, making people laugh, and riding his Harley. Mr. Terry is survived by his wife, Kathy L. “Sissy” Terry of Halifax; daughters, Megan Yarbrough and husband, Jesse of Sevierville, TN and Savannah Terry of South Boston; step son, Lee Barker and wife, Tammy of Halifax; grandchildren, Kaden Yarbrough and Bentley Yarbrough; step grandchildren, Josh Barker and Kyle Barker; father, Henry Alvin Terry of Halifax; brother, Rick Terry and wife, Sandy of South Boston; sister, Carolyn Forlines and husband, Jason of Scottsburg; nephews, John Terry and Ethan Terry: nieces, Carly Forlines and Haddy Forlines; and special friend, David Satterfield. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Mae Davis Terry. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Sentara Halifax Regional Hospice and to his special friends, Tammy Barker and David Satterfield. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 2:30 PM in Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Coy Terry officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of his father, Henry A. Terry, 1041 Highland Hills Dr., Halifax.
