James Franklin Parker

Mr. James Franklin Parker of 1045 Rogers Trail, South Boston, VA died Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the age of 61. He was born in Greenville, FL. on June 5, 1949 to the late William George Parker and the late Annie Porter Parker and was married to Barbara Lynn Parker. Mr. Parker was a member of Black Walnut Baptist Church and was a retired Sergeant with the Halifax County N.C. Sheriff’s Office. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Margaret Kennedy and husband Jeffrey of Lexington, SC;, Kelly Kast and husband, Kelly of Concord, VA.; sons, Chris Parker of South Boston, VA, James Otis Parker of Bonifay FL.; brothers, John Paul Parker, George Parker, and Robert Parker; sisters, Maxine Owens, Lillian Swilley, and Betty Jo Lewis; eight grandchildren, Paige Kennedy, Zachary Kennedy, Kade Kast, Kaleb Kast, Elizabeth Parker, Dylan Parker, Erica Parker and Chance Parker. Mr. Parker was also preceded in death by his sisters, Nettie Ann Whitman and Ella Mae Lundy. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Black Walnut Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in Black Walnut Baptist Church Cemetery.
