Clarksville, VA - James A. Williamson of Clarksville, VA passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. He was born on December 3, 1944 in Clarksville and was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mary Williamson, sister Ruth Lewis and sister Nancy Cheek both of Dinwiddie, VA. He is survived by sons Kenneth and Jennifer Williamson of Roanoke, VA and Chris and Charlene Williamson of Clarksville, VA as well as grandchildren Tristan, Tyler, Joanna, Leeann and Ann-Taylor Williamson and his beloved Frankie. James was a retired cattle, horseman and tobacco farmer (bacca as he called it). He also proudly drove a school bus for Mecklenburg County for many years. He spoke fondly on many occasions of how much he enjoyed taking the kids to school, to ball games and on band trips. A celebration of life service in his memory will be held at a later date.
