James Paul Woofter, Sr.

October 16, 1916 — May 1, 2005

James Paul Woofter, Sr. 88, widower of Clella Cain Woofter, died May 1, 2005 at MeadowView Terrace in Clarksville, VA. Native to Lewis County in West Virginia, he was the son of Allan Walter and Birdety McCarty Woofter. Mr. Woofter was a retired carpenter. Graveside services will be 2PM Thursday at Greenlawn Masonic Cemetery in Clarksburg, WVA. Survivors are daughter, Debra Jo Ayers of Martinsville and son, James Paul Woofter, Jr. of Buffalo Junction; 5 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6-8PM Wednesday at Davis Funeral Home, 1 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, WVA 26301, 304 624-6344.
