Janet Lee Cranford

Buffalo Junction, VA - Janet Lee Cranford departed this earthly life on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the age of 62. She was born on June 21, 1956 in South Boston, VA to Margaret Scott Cranford and the late Clifton Floyd Cranford. Janet was a class of 1974 graduate of Halifax County High School. She worked as an insurance office secretary and was a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church. Janet is survived by her mother, Margaret Cranford of Buffalo Junction, niece Margaret Anne Carlisle-Cranford of South Boston, nephew John Carrington Cranford and his wife, Joanie of Buffalo Junction and great nephews, Ashton and Colby. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifton Cranford and a brother, Kenneth Alan Cranford. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Gravel Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow at Aarons Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The Reverend Joey Tucker will officiate. The family will receive friends at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home on Sunday, July 1 from 7 – 8:30 p.m and all other times at the residence.
