Janey Wilson Reaves

SOUTH BOSTON, VA - Mrs. Janey Wilson Reaves passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the age of 81. Born in Halifax County on July 23, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Silas and Myrtle Wilson and was married to the late Cecil Stover Reaves.She was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church, loved flowers, and was a homemaker to her family. She loved all of her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Janey is survived by daughters, Lynn Taylor and Lydia Trickey and husband, Mark; granddaughters, Liz Smith and husband, Justin, and Jill Hidy and husband, Chris; grandson, Ryan Taylor; and a great granddaughter, Hadley Jane Smith. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 8 sisters and 4 brothers. Funeral services for Mrs. Reaves will be on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM with Reverend Shayne Estes officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, February 8, 2019 from 6:30-8:00 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home and at other times the home of Mark and Lydia Trickey, 5087 Huell Matthews Hwy., South Boston.
