Janice Marie Griffin Perry Barbour

Janice Marie Griffin Perry Barbour passed away on February 7, 2023, at the age of 88. She was born on June 6, 1934, in Durham, NC, to the late Thomas Jefferson Griffin and Johnny Renn Griffin. Janice was married to the late Dalton Lee Barbour. Janice worked in manufacturing at Liggett and Myers for 35 years before retiring. In her retirement, Janice enjoyed reading, working in her garden and tending to her animals. She was a member of High View Baptist Church.

Janice is survived by her four sons, Michael L. Clayton, of Durham, Dwight D. Clayton (Sandra), of Durham, Jerry A. Clayton, of Raleigh, and Robert L. Perry, of Oxford; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers Thomas J. Griffin, of Georgia, and Allen R. Griffin, of Raleigh; and her pets, Blackie and Pretty Boy.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 13 at High View Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6 – 8 P.M.
