Jayne Newton Elliott

Jayne Elizabeth Newton Elliott, 65, of Oxford, NC passed away on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024. Born on Monday, March 2nd, 1959 in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Waylon Newton and Dorothy Ann Matthews Newton.

Jayne is survived by her son, Christopher Dale Elliott, daughter-in-law Jessica, grandchildren Emersyn Taylor Elliott and Allen Kade Elliott, brother Robert "Bobby" Newton and his wife Donna, and devoted cousin Karen "Hope" Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Jerry Waylon Newton, and maternal grandmother Alma Setzer Matthews.

Jayne worked as an Office Manager for Kmart for 20 years. She enjoyed yardwork, spending time with her grandchildren, and attending church services.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Johnny Yount officiating. Burial will follow in Knotts Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday and all other times at the home of Chris and Jessica Elliott.

Jayne will be remembered for her kind heart, dedication to her family, and love for her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
