Jean Whitlow Reaves

Mrs. Jean Whitlow Reaves of 6039 Philpott Rd., South Boston died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the age of 78. She was born in Halifax Co. on August 23, 1932 to the late Charles and Bertha Harris Whitlow and was married to Earnest Reaves. Mrs. Reaves was a retired sales clerk at McCollum-Ferrell Shoes and was a member of First Cross Roads Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Holly R. Owen and Heidi R. Mills and husband, Troy S. Mills, all of Glen Allen; a sister, Marie W. Turner of Hanover; and three grandchildren, Dylan Mills, Hunter Mills, and Abigail Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Louise W. Paris. A memorial service will held on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM at First Cross Roads Baptist Church in Turbeville with Rev. W.D. Mills officiating. The family will receive friends at the home, 6039 Philpott Rd., South Boston, VA 24592.
