Jefferson Davis "Jeff" Hudson

Jefferson Davis "Jeff" Davis of South Boston died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the age of 76. He was born on September 23, 1933 in Clover to the late Robert Lee Hudson and the late Annie Martin Hudson and was married to the late Ruth Bray Hudson. Mr. Davis retired from JP Stevens after 30 years as a supervisor and was a member of Ash Ave. Baptist Church. Mr. Hudson is survived by three daughters, Debbie Hudson Wheeler of San Diego, CA, Gail Hudson-Matzke of South Boston, and Cynthis Hudson-Mullins of Leesburg; two sons, Jeffrey Alan Hudson, Sr. and wife,Florence of Mt. Laurel and Barry Keith Hudson of South Boston; two brothers, Billy Hudson and Herbert Hudson; a sister, Marion Carter; grandchildren, Michelle Simpson, Amber Wheeler, Tracy Crowder, Michael Wheeler, Dylan Mullins, Jeffrey Alan Hudson, Jr., Chelsea Mullins, and Joshua Hudson; and great grandchildren, Sandra, Megan, Jacob, Ethan, Emma, Avery, Logan, Zachary, and Sarah. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Billy Hudson and Garland Hudson; and sisters, Sissy Hudson and Gracie Hudson Neal. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Ash Ave. Baptist Church with Rev. John Eure officiating. The family will receive friends at the home, 715 Magnolia Dr., South Boston and at the Ash Ave. Baptist Church fellowship hall following the memorial service.
