Jeffrey Darryl Farmer

HALIFAX, VA Mr. Jeffrey Darryl Farmer of Marion’s Trail, Halifax, passed away June 6, 2019 at the age of 53.Born in Halifax County on October 2, 1965, he was the son of the late Lawrence Hampton Farmer and the late Rebecca Glass Stanley. Jeff loved to fish, his lifelong passion, and was a kind-hearted and hard-working man. He was employed with Comfort Systems USA as a HVAC worker. Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Farmer; sons, Jonathan Farmer and wife, Crystal; David Farmer; Jason Farmer and Jeffrey Darryl “JD” Farmer; grandchildren, Paislee, Malachi, Noah and Abigail; sister, Iris Farmer Mitchell; his significant other, Sharon Clay and a long time friend, Len Clay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Hampton “LH”Farmer, Jr.; and a sister, Barbara Farmer Saunders. A Graveside Service for Jeff Farmer will be Monday, June 10, 2019 at 12:00 PM at the Saunders Family Cemetery, 5164 Chestnut Road, Nathalie, VA. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 PM and at other times the home of Sharon Clay, 200 Hamilton Blvd, Apt 17B, South Boston, VA.
