Jeffrey "Jeff" Thomas Rice

ALTON,VA Mr. Jeffrey Thomas “Jeff” Rice of Paradise Road, Alton, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the age of 29.Born in Goldsboro, NC on September 19, 1989, he was the son of David Leonard Rice and Tammy Campbell Rice. Jeff was a 2008 graduate of Halifax County High School and his passion was fishing and hunting. He was employed in the shipping department at ABB. Other than his parents, he is survived by a sister, Brittany Rice and friend, Hugh Jones; paternal grandfather, David Thomas Rice; paternal grandmother, Rebecca Simmons Rice; maternal grandmother, Sue Cole; aunt, Brenda Talley and husband, Rev. Norman Talley; uncles, Billy Campbell and wife, Tina and Buddy Campbell and wife, Amy and numerous other family members. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Union Christian Church in Virgilina with Reverend Norman Talley officiating. Burial will follow in Virgilina Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, at Union Christian Church and other times the home of his parents, 1109 Newton Farm Road, South Boston.
