Jennifer Sue Whitt Brooks

JENNIFER SUE WHITT BROOKS, age 63, of 545 Tom Oakley Road, Timberlake, NC, died Wednesday afternoon, June 8, 2022 at her home with her family by her side. Mrs. Brooks was born January 12, 1959 in Halifax County, VA daughter of the late Archer “Buster” Whitt & the late Hettie Sue Whitfield Wilkerson and was wife of 41 years to Donald Edward “Donnie” Brooks who survives. She was a farmer known for the family’s fabulous strawberries and was a member of Mt. Tirzah United Methodist Church. Jennifer enjoyed working on the farm, helping and caring for others, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Brandon “BB” Brooks & wife, Morgan of Leasburg, NC, Tiffany Brooks Montague & husband, Jeremy of Timberlake, NC, four grandchildren, Jenna Brooks, Davis Brooks, Abby Montague, and Carson Montague. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brooks is preceded in death by her step-father, Lloyd Edward Wilkerson. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2022 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with Dr. M. David Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Tirzah United Methodist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends and guests from 6:30 till 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the funeral home and other times at the home.
