Jerald Lacy Martin

SOUTH BOSTON, VA - Jerald Lacy Martin, husband of Chandra Ratliff Martin, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at the age of 48. He was born in Halifax County on February 7, 1972, to Joan Lacks Allen and the late Wanet “Ronnie” Martin. Jerald worked for Dominion Power Plant in Clover as a mechanic/welder. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting with his dogs. Jerald is survived by his wife, Chandra; his mother and her husband, Joan and Steve Allen; son, Tyler Lacy Martin; stepsons, Jonathon Mitchell Epps and James David Epps IV; grandmother, Lizzie Mae Badran; sister, Tammy Rae Martin; stepsister, Renee Stallings; stepbrother, Mike Allen and his nephew, Brayden Martin. A memorial service will be at the Botanical Gardens in Edmunds Park on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 10:00 AM.
